Then, yet again, the exact same exercises were then repurposed and used with great effectiveness by Mike Dayton in 1979 with his course "Chi Mind Control". The same exact exercises were then put into course form a decade later by Mike Marvel and presented as 'Dyna-Flex' during the 1960s. Buckley also stated that the exercises he offered were based on the research conducted by Hettinger and Mueller of the Max Planck Institute in Dortmund, Germany. Isometric Power Flexes with no movement were first taught in course form by Tom Buckley in the late 1950s in his 'Body Tone' Course which had the same exact format as Charles Atlas's Dynamic Tension Course but unlike Charles Atlas's course there were no calisthenics, DVR or DSR exercises, it was strictly and only Isometric Power Flex Exercises. The only real difference is that these exercises are performed with the intention of muscular development rather than muscular display. It's what bodybuilders do when they are flexing their muscles during competition.
